AquaT2000™ Pet Alkaline Hydrolysis System

A scaled down version of our human system, the AquaT2000™ is a 200 lb capacity, non-pressurized, simple and reliable system that can process pet remains in under 3 hours. That’s a six fold improvement over the competition. Our patented rotational technology in alkaline hydrolysis sets new benchmarks in the water cremation industry.

Same great features as its larger human version but will come in a smaller footprint making it ideally suited for positioning within existing clinic workspaces with minimal disruption.

Our 3-hour cycle time, start to finish is unmatched in the industry today and allows veterinary clinics and pet aftercare services to return pet remains the same-day or next-day. Processing multiple ‘privates’ with our patented reusable AquaBags™, our 3-hour cycle time saves on labor and input costs allowing you to offer the service at very competitive rates.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Preparation and loading of pets

Individual pets – “Privates”, are gently placed in our patented AquaBags and the bags sealed with nylon 70 lb Zipties. “Communals” can be processed in the same cycle as bagged privates. Weighed as a group before loading into the bottom half of the perforated, inner cradle. Water can be added manually or programmed to ¾ floating height of each load judged by the operator. The top lid to the cradle is secured and dry flake KOH added to the top V-trough based on total body weight. The lid is closed and secured. Consistent results are achieved if all pets in the same cycle are near the same weight and completely thawed.

  2. 2

    Short 3-hour process cycle

At the start of the cycle the internal cradle can gently “swish” back and forth in a rocking motion for 30 minutes while the internal immersion heaters bring the water temperature up to 200F. Full rotation at a slow 8 rpm can start at 120F and proceed for an additional 90 minutes followed by a gentle 30-60 min swish pattern. This achieves good results with maximum bone retention.  The process can be run automatically with programmable “recipes” to suit the pet load characteristics, or manual override with some operator judgment can be used to optimize results.

  3. 3

    Cooling and pH adjustment

When the cycle is complete the liquid by-product is cooled with our proprietary heat recovery system and the resulting warm water is stored for the next cycle. pH is adjusted with acid injection and the liquid bi-product is then discharged from the system.

  4. 4

    Clean, rinse and removal

The system proceeds through the wash/rinse cycle ensuring the bone remains and the equipment are clean. The cradle can be lifted free of the chamber to allow for easy recovery of the AquaBags with solid bone remains from the bottom portion of the cradle. Operators also have the option to simply remove the top to the cradle to access the bones remains while still in the chamber. The AquaBags make it very easy to retrieve individual remains.  If portions of bone still have some soft tissue, those portions can be separately processed in the AquaDesktop units thereby freeing up the system for the next full process cycle.  The AquaDesktop can be used to process pocket pets up to 3 lbs or for “bone finishing”.
